Alainas Check up

Alainas checkup on her lymph nodes went well yesterday. She does not have anything wrong that they can find. Just symptamatic lymph nodes. Her tonsels are swollen a little and they said that if they start causing her problems, then they will consider taking them out. But so far she is good.

Jason had his check up on his ears today to. He is okay. no sign of infection or anything so.......

Jason goes back for his six month check up in a month and Alaina goes back for her check up in six months.


Whewwwww no more doctors for a while. Oh yeah Kylie has to go at the end of this months but still it is not every two weeks like it was....

My little secret.

I have a little secret. It is called depression......I have posted on it some before but have been struggling with it alot here lately....It has gotten worse since Jason was born and didnt seem to be going away. As I have said before I cant afford the doctor or medicines to treat it.

I have been considering taking herbal medicines (st johns wart) for it but have seen people that take this and dont like some of the side effects. So I prayed about it and prayed about it and feel that God has given me an answer.

I have found that taking Super B Complex and lots of Vitamin C has helped so much. I have been taken it for 2 weeks now and I have noticed a difference this week. Each day is better. I have more energy, I yell at my kids less, I dont have as many mad or hateful thoughts towards my husband, and I smile alot more.


I am not completely sure about sharing this. I may delete it in a few days, but for now it is here to help whoever it can help.

I am a very private person when it comes to my depression. I have always been the strong one and taken it all and never complained. I cant do that anymore. I have to have help.

Please pray for me that I will keep getting better and that my family will grow stronger because of this.

Our Homeschool

Tiany over at Less of Me ~ More of Him, http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Tiany is hosting a Homeschool open house.

We are a family of five, my husband paul, myself, four year old Kylie, two year old Alaina, and 5 mth old Jason. We do not officially homeschool yet. We have been working with Kylie and Alaina on their basic skills and are looking into Curriculums for next year, maybe in December if Kylie is ready.

Our days are very unscheduled and fun. We usually get up in the mornings and eat breakfast. Kylie prays and then we have a little bible story and talk about it. Then we clean up the kitchen, start laundry, and pick up through the house. When we get all this done, we usually sit down and do some worksheets and puzzles and some days a craft. Our schooling also includes lessons in everyday life such as cooking and getting dressed. We also have lessons when we go to the grocery store.

I recently bought "Teach Your Child To Read In 100 Easy Lessons" and "Slow and Steady Get Me Ready" . We will probably start with these in another month or so...Right now we use alot of books....bought and checked out from the library.

If I had to give advice to anyone new to homeschooling it would be to not stress, do research, and pray. It all gets better with prayer.

Questions I have....too many to ask. I am still new to this myself and I will probably always have questions. But I guess, Does it always feel overwhelming?

Our school isnt much right now but then again I only have one that is really ready to do school the others are still playing. Although Alaina is very smart and is catching on fast.


I think this is everything, just your typical life with toddlers and infants.

Something Funny

I just had to share this....

Earlier, I was in the living room folding clothes and the girls were in the kitchen where they were not supposed to be... I had the dish washer running and I really do believe that it is on its last leg.....from all the noises it makes.....

All of a sudden they come bursting out of the kitchen just as fast as they can with these frightened looks on their faces.....stop...look at me and start crying......now while it was not funny that they were scared, it was the priceless looks on their faces because they had been caught doing something they werent supposed to do....lol..... I still cant stop laughing when I think about it...

I am guessing that they dishwasher made one of its funny noises since kylie said it was loud and going to get them...

Not Nothing Really Happening

WE have had an okay day I guess....Busy but not productive. Isnt that weird. I had to go get groceries today and with three kids, it takes forever. Now, after I get off of here, I need to get supper ready, do some more laundry and mow the yard. It is so tall you cant even see my new puppy in the grass...

I know it is crazy to let it get that tall but it is 1 1/4 acres to mow with a push mower. We have a riding mower but it is in the shop and dont know when it will get out.

I dont really have anything new just tired and busy.

Weekend

Oh the joys of traveling with kids......especially to a bowshoot where it is hot and tiring and dirty.... I did not take my camera because the place we went to is very high security and they usually dont even let you take them past the gate but this year they didnt even ask.....funny huh... But if you can imagine two little girls and all the dirt and sticks they wanted...oh what fun they had.

I had a little bit of fun....I got to go to Bath & Body Works...and the kids actually behaved...I got to go to a few other stores too but I didnt buy that much because I need to buy some stuff for paul...

Jason has started trying to say sounds....he says a lot that sounds like Da Da Da.....so cute.

When we got home yesterday, I had my books that I ordered.....in the mail....Yippeee.....

We have a couple of doctors appointments to go to this week and a house to get back in order but next week we are going to start on these.

We also lost our precious RobinHood this weekend (for those of you who dont know, that was our beagle puppy that we just got a few weeks ago....) We came home and found him....dont know what happened.

But we had another one reserved and get to pick him up tonight so that helps.. His name will be Elmer...cause he will always be hunting rabbits...lol

I guess that is all for now. I may post some pictures later today if we get to take any. But is may be later this week before we take any...

Not bad for a woman with three kids (and I am missing my helper) That is another thing, Everyone always wants kylie and thinks they are helping me by taking one away. It would be more help if they would leave her and take one of the others......I could get more done if I didnt have to stop and feed Jason or get Alaina out of stuff...lol.. I mean Kylie helps. And she said the other day that she needed some momma time.....I dont get to spend as much quality time with her as I should...
