Well, we have started trying to get on a schedule for our school year. But.....they stayed up late last night watching a movie with daddy so I am letting them sleep late.

My house is clean to the point that all I have to do is upkeep and some deep cleaning now and then. You know the days when you really need to clean that kitchen and then the days when you just need to declutter an area...well today is the office and my checkbook.. they are both in a mess.

Schoolwork has been going okay. I was going to try and do Teach Your Child To Read in 100 Easy Lessons With Kylie but She looked at it and told me it wasnt colorful enough for her to do....What? When does a four year old decide that? So we are still doing crafts and play and she is still bored and done in five minutes. I am going to try and order a curriculum to start with in January, which means that our school year will be off from everyone eleses but oh well, when have we been like everyone else?

I will try and post more on our schedule when we get all the kinks worked out.

Sorry for the errors I am typing this one handed...:)

Yesterday.

Okay, My verse of the week says that " tribulations worketh patience." Then I guess yesterday ought to have worked alot of patience for me....

Kylie was done with her lesson in about 5 minutes....I am not kidding...and I did not have anything else planned for her to do so I had to spend the rest of the day either coming up with something for her to do or if I went to do something that I needed done (like switching the laundry,) I would come back and find her making a mess somewhere and then i would have to clean it up.... I did not get very much done at all .........AND I Have no patience.......

Please pray for me that I will gain patience with my daughter.. When I was younger, everyone said I had the patience of Job...I kept six babies under two in a daycare and loved every minute of it.. I dont know where all that patience went but I am a little tired of being grouchy..

Chruch Dinners

We had a wonderful little get together at the park Friday night. It was actually a birthday party for a boy at church...He turned 6. It was fun.. We did not get to fish like we planned but maybe one night this week I can take the girls and go.

We had hotdogs and hamburgers and cake and ice cream. and we visited and we talked and the kids played and we had lots of fun.

Today after Church, we had sandwiches and stuff and visited for a little while. We were supposed to go put in som electric at the building site but Rick said he could take care of it all by himself so we came on home. They are supposed to be starting our building soon. Yay......

Anyway, Do you have dinners at your church? What do you usually do for them and what do the kids usually do?

I am just interested in all of this....

Kylie and Homeschooling

I have a few questions for those of you that read my blog...

To start with, Kylie is so frustrating sometimes. I mean, she knows her ABC's, she just doesnt want to sing it right most of the time. If she is singing it and she says the wrong letter, you can look at her and she will sullenly say the right one. Ughhhhh....

Then, she knows what most of them look like but when you ask her what that letter is, she will say the wrong one and keep saying it until you get so mad at her.

Paul and I have discussed it and we really believe she would be more productive learning to read. She just seems so bored with everything else and she is always wanting me to read to her and she is constantly asking me what that word is or this word....And she is always sitting around with a book in her hands acting like she is reading.....

I just would like to know some opinions of more experienced homeschoolers....

Thank You

Love for our kids and my sis

Julie http://accordingtohispower2.blogspot.com has been posting alot about songs and how they relate to life. I found this you tube vido over on http://royalbness.blogspot.com/. It is very sad but something that most women can relate to.

It makes me very grateful for the three wonderful little blessings that I have. There is nothing more precious than hearing your child say they love you. To think that at one time I did not think I would ever hear it makes me even more grateful.

To my sister, I love you and Iam so thankful for you and your prayers. I am so thankful that you are able to experience and enjoy all the precious little things they do. I do wish tht you had been able to experience it first but i am so glad that you were there to share Kylies with me.
