Happy Birthday Kylie!

My Kylie Bear! What can I say about you that people dont already know? You are so smart, and have a wonderful loving, giving heart.

Being the first born, you gave me a little more problems figuring out this whole mommy thing. But you have also been very patient with me and very loving and you tell me that it will be okay...you tell me not to worry and to just pray about it.

It is hard watching my little girl getting ready to really start school (homeschool) and deciding already that when you grow up you want to be a mommy and stay home and teach your kids.....I can only pray that you get to do that....that you get to accomplish your dreams. You make me feel really good about what I am doing as a momma and a teacher....when I really dont think I am doing all that great a job.

You love animals and hate to see anything hurt. Although you dont mind wanting to kill a deer like daddy. You are such a good mommy to your little dolls and you are a great Big Sister to Alaina and Jason!

And you cant wait to cook all on your own! You are so ready to grow up and I am not ready to let go.......

I pray that you have many more joyous years and that you are able to grow up and live your dreams....whatever they may be when you do grow up. I miss your baby years, and I am sure that in another 6, I will miss this year...but I am so glad that I get to share your years with you! I love you my Kylie Bear......my little "mommy"

Blessings

Husband Encouragement and Up Early! And Happy Birthday Kylie!

Do you realize that we are over halfway through with the Husband Encouragement Challenge? But should we really ever be through.....We should encourage our husbands everyday! Not just because it is our job, but because we want to! How is the challenge coming for you?

Day Sixteen:
"And the LORD God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a
helper comparable to him." Genesis 2:18
God says that it is not good for man to be alone. But the way some women criticize their
mates, the husbands may long for solitude. Be careful today not to criticize your mate,
but look for ways to encourage him personally and publicly.
Speaking of communication, does your husband communicate with you? God has made
you a companion and helper for your husband, and part of being "one flesh" with him is
the privilege of sharing and discussing personal needs and concerns. Thank God for
that wonderful gift. Thank your husband for communicating with you.
If your spouse does not communicate as you wish, look for ways that he communicates
that are normal for him - smiling at you, nodding his head, even a pleasant "grunt!" - and
then thank him for letting you know that he cares. Perhaps he needs to be lovingly
taught how to communicate. Be patient with him...and listen when he does speak.

Paul is not a very big speaker....Not saying anything negative trust me...He is the most loving caring man but he just is not a big talker. He communicates in other ways.....bringing me a snack or something speacial when he goes to town.....or coming in and helping with supper.....or helping with the house chores I have left to do (which I shouldnt have any left to do...) He holds my hand in the car...almost constantly, puts his hand on my back as we walk through a store or through a parking lot, sneaks little kisses throughout the day, calls me just to say I love you! So see, your husband does not have to talk to communicate with you.

I have been doing okay on getting up early. I have missed a few days but Paul has told me not to worry about it, just do what you can. I dont know why but the past few days, I have been exhausted and havent been able to get out of bed. I think I may have caught a little bug or something....because Kylie, the one who is always out of bed by 7 has been sleeping until 8 or until I wake her up....so I think either allergies or a bug has gotten us.

But I will keep trying!!!!

And later today, a birthday post to my Kylie Bear! She turns 6 today....6 Oh my Gosh where did the time go? Love You Kylie!

Blessings

Happy Birthday Kylie

Today is my Kylie Bears 5th Birthday!

And what is neat is it was 5 yrs ago on a Wednesday that she was born.

I cant believe how big she has gotten. And how much she has changed over the last few months. It is like she went from little girl to big girl all of a sudden.

Kylie, you are unique. You are a pretty princess, deer hunter, "frog hunter", momma's big girl, daddys baby, litte momma to your brother and sister and oh so smart!

It is you who I am learning with, you who is teaching me what it is like to be a mom. Its you who tells me when I mess up and when I do good. You are so silly sometimes and at others, you are very serious and your not going to joke about anything.

I love having you at home all the time. I love how you want to help me cook and learn to sew and how you play princess, and then campout.

I never would have guessed 5 yrs ago that I could feel this much love towards somebody else. But you (and your brothers and sister) have shown me that I can. I cant wait to see what you do in the next year and the rest of your life. You are going to go far as long as you hold onto your dreams.

I love you Kylie! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Kylie

My dear sweet, scardy cat Kylie caught a frog the other day! Very big step for this little girl. She usually runs from frogs and such. I was very surprised and very happy for her...after I got over my shock.

And being the drama queen that she is, she didnt just catch it and say momma I caught a frog. No, she screamed and jumped and held it in her hands and made me and her daddy think she was hurt. Scared us!

I will try to post some new pics of them soon. I didnt get any at Church Camp because I was too busy enjoying myself and the kids to mess with a camera.

Blessings

Questions from a 4 yr old.

"Momma why did God make us with two legs in front and two legs in back?" said Kylie. My response. "ummmmmmmmm......ummmmmmmm. What do you mean two legs in front and two legs in back?" She then proceeded to explain what she meant which when her daddy got out of the shower, he understood perfectly. I told him it was because she was crazy like him....lol. I finally understood what she was asking and we gave her an answer that she apparently liked cause she hasnt asked since. But she has been asking just off the wall questions. Off the wall but smart. You can tell that her mind is just going in circles. It is so cute but we have at least two moments aday where I am just stopped in my tracks racking my brain trying to think of what she means and how I am going to answer that.

Life with a very smart four year old...........should be a tv show huh.

and last but not least. a video that i came across today.

It is funny.

Love and Prayers
Crystal

Edited: This is in response to javamamma 's comment. God made us with a front and a back side. I am just waiting on her to decide we have legs on the sides too.. She is really smart. Sometimes Homeschooling her scares me because I am afraid she is going to be way over my head. My sister got all the book smarts in our family, I got common sense but not very many book smarts. Thanks for the comment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLIE

I know this is a day late but seeing as yesterday was so hectic. Four years ago, I was anxiously awaiting the birth of my very first baby. I was so excited. I had everything ready, down to my plan for what I was going to do when I went into labor. You surprised me. Your due date was September 7th-16th. the ultra sound said one thing, the doctor said another. Your Daddy was working for his self at the time much like he always has but he was at a point where he didnt have to work for a couple of weeks, so he decided to stay home and wait with me because I had been having alot of pains. It was a Wednesday morning. We had decided the day before that Daddy was going to go back to work that morning but we stayed up late watching movies and eating popcorn and pickles....yuck.. Anyway, about 8:30 we woke up and Daddy was getting ready to go to work and my water broke. There went my plan out the window. I had no idea what to do. My mom was four hours away, Your daddys mom was still asleep (love ya mom) and I was scared. Every one said that when your water broke you were in active labor....hmmmm. Anyway, we were surprised at the hospital because your aunt ducky was there waiting for us and your granny wilma was on her way. She sat with me until they made her leave when you were born. she did not leave my side once. I missed that with Alaina and Jason.

You took your sweet time getting here and after ward, I was so happy and so relieved that you were okay. You had such a sweet face and such a stubborn attitude. You were nothing like I expected. You screamed everytime someone put you down and you refused to cooperate with anything. But I still loved you. I still love you today, four years later you are just as stubborn and just as uncooperative. You push me to my limits and then push them further. And still I love you. Through all the stubbornness and the pushing, you light up my life with your love and laughter. You can find humor in anything but at the same time, when something is sad, you are very serious and very comforting.

I prayed before you were born that I could raise kids that would obey the Gospel and stay in Church and be Christians. I see and hear everyday when you remind me of things that God would not like or God would like that I am doing that. You are a very wonderful blessing and you are one of the lights of mine and your daddys life. I am so glad God gave you to me and that you threw my perfect plan out the window. It has been an adventure and a joy and I am sure it will be for years to come if God sees fit. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

I know we dont always get along but you know what, it is because we are so much alike. bot stubborn, rebellous, and ownry. But we are also full of love and compassion.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
